About the camp
Stellplatz 'Ruhig' is one of two municipal motorhome pitches in Friedenfels, listed alongside the more central and better-equipped 'Stellplatz: Zentral' at the Steinwaldhalle. As its name suggests, it sits in a quieter spot on the Weißensteiner Weg beside the Frauenreuther Weiher lake, close to the start of Friedenfels' circular hiking trails, an entry point to local mountain-bike trails, and a link to the Steinwaldradweg cycle route. The pitch is run informally by the municipality rather than a private operator: campers pay a flat overnight fee plus a per-person resort tax in person, at the Rathaus or a nearby inn, rather than on site. Friedenfels itself is the first stage destination on the Goldsteig long-distance trail, in the Steinwald forest region of the Oberpfalz.
