About the camp
A deliberately tiny basecamp with only 6 campervan spots and 5 tent pitches, kept small for rest-seekers and travellers who arrive on a whim rather than a booking. The site overlooks the salt marsh (kwelder), with birdsong, wind and dark night skies as the draw, and is not suitable for caravans. There is no advance reservation: guests register through the Ease2Pay/AanUit app on arrival, which issues an access code for both the barrier and the sanitary building, housed in a former Rijkswaterstaat building right against the dike. Hosts are not on site around the clock, so the whole stay runs on self-service check-in, with a new night billed every 24 hours.
