About the camp

A small, informal campsite in the Frisian village of Kollum, run personally by owners Eva and Figo. The camping field holds about 10 powered pitches plus a 'trekkersveld' that always keeps a last-minute spot for hikers and cyclists. Sanitary facilities are simple but clean; chemical toilets cannot be emptied on site because of the septic tank, but this can be done at the harbour in Kollum. Guests who arrive when the owners are out are welcome to choose their own pitch and register later that day. Two furnished caravans, a Predom caravan and a furnished tent with room for a baby cot are available to rent. Nearby are a swimming pool, the Veenkloosterbos forest and the Kruidhof botanical garden, with Buitenpost station a short walk away.

Rural Friesland near Kollum, with a forest, a botanical garden and a swimming pool nearby. Buitenpost train station is within walking distance, about half an hour by train from Groningen or Leeuwarden.
