About the camp
A family-run mini-camping (4 sterren) and B&B (3 sterren) on a working farm in Kockengen, in the Groene Hart between Utrecht and Amsterdam, within cycling distance of Kasteel de Haar and the fairy-tale village of Haarzuilens (3 km). Pitches take a caravan, folding caravan or tent with awning; a separate Trekkersplaats serves cyclists and walkers arriving without a car. Owners Marianne Hoekstra and Piet van de Geer emphasise free extras: hot showers and dishwater, loaned newspapers, an e-reader/audiobook app, and free WiFi and use of the farm's family bike for longer stays. The farm also sells its own grass-fed beef and runs an 'adopt a cow' scheme. Fixed arrival/departure days and a minimum stay keep the grounds quiet.
