About the camp
Boerderijcamping Don Voorzorg is a small, welcoming farm campsite on the Wadden island of Texel, run by the Witte family (Jan and Paula) on their own grounds next to a working dairy farm near Den Burg. Fifteen spacious, hardened grass-paver pitches suit tents, campers, caravans and folding caravans, especially in spring and autumn when a grass pitch would be soft underfoot. The farm and campsite are kept physically separate for safety, but the owners enjoy giving guests a guided look at the cow shed and farmyard. Beyond the pitches lies open farmland grazed by sheep and the family's own cows, with views toward De Hogeberg and, on clear nights, an impressive starry sky. The site avoids large groups, favouring a quieter mix of families and couples instead.
