About the camp
The camping field at Botniahiem lies in the green Frisian countryside near Damwâld and holds roughly twenty pitches. Guests can choose an open pitch on the main field, good for easily meeting other campers and popular with families with young children, or a more sheltered, shaded pitch for a caravan, folding camper or tent, with or without an extra pup tent. A playground sits in the middle of the field, in view of the pitches, with pedal cars and go-karts for children. Facilities include a nearby sanitary building, 6-10A electricity connections and water points spread across the field, wifi everywhere on the field, and a covered, lockable bike shed with an e-bike charging point (the neighbour next door is a bike-repair shop). The site lies close to Dokkum, one of Friesland's eleven historic cities. Beyond camping pitches, Botniahiem also rents an apartment, a static caravan, a glamping tent and holiday homes for 4 or 5 people.
