Bovensbos is a 35-pitch, car-free campsite in the woods near Helden in Noord-Limburg, run on a working horse farm and show-jumping stable. It offers spacious touring pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, an on-site swimming pool, and stabling for guests who bring their own horse or pony.
About the camp
Bovensbos sits on a quiet forest road with the woods starting right at the gate, so the setting is genuinely quiet: sandy soil keeps pitches mud-free even after heavy rain, and the car-free layout suits young children. The site is also a real, working business: a breeding and trading stable for show-jumping horses (Global Sport Horse BV) plus a horse laser-therapy practice, so guests can watch, visit and pet the stable horses, a pony, goats, chickens, a peacock and the owners' two dogs and cats. Guests who bring their own horse or pony can stable it in a private box with turnout and use of a 2-hectare jumping paddock, with optional coaching. Booking runs through the site's own online reservation system rather than a fixed price list: guests enter their dates and party size and are shown the total cost, including all fees, before paying a 25%/75% deposit split.
