About the camp
Laid out in 2021 with generously spaced pitches to keep the open, quiet character of the surrounding land. Guests get a view over farmland or a bench by the water to watch boats go by, making it a favoured rest stop after a day's cycling. There are no fixed arrival or departure times, and walk-ins are welcome without booking, though the owners suggest calling ahead or reserving for busy weekends such as Hemelvaart, Pinksteren and the SKS skûtsjesilen Frisian sailing regatta. Harmke, whose family has generations-long ties to the neighbouring Jan Durkspolder, is happy to tell guests more about its history and nature.
