A small farm campsite on the river Eem at Eemdijk in Utrecht, part of a working dairy farm where calves grow up to become milking cows. The field takes about 20 pitches for tents, trailer tents, campers or caravans, all with electricity. Guests can help with the daily chores on the farm or use the central location to see the middle of the Netherlands.

About the camp
Boerencamping Buitenlust asks you to come and slow down. The pitches lie open and wide over the polder, with the cattle standing practically in your back garden. The sanitary building is split into a men's and a women's side, each with showers, toilets and washbasins and underfloor heating for the colder days, and using the showers is included in the price. There is a separate indoor room for a rainy summer day, a spot outside for doing the washing up, a washing machine and a dryer, play equipment on the field and wagon carts for the shopping. One trekkershut sleeps two to four in the comfort of a cottage with the atmosphere of a farm campsite.

Eemdijk belongs to the municipality of Bunschoten, together with Spakenburg and Zevenhuizen, and sits on the river Eem in the open Utrecht polder. From the camp you can cycle or walk in many directions, take the bike ferry over the Eem, and reach Amersfoort or Almere; Baarn, Bunschoten-Spakenburg and Amersfoort all have things to do in the summer months.
