BuitenWedde is a nearly 100-year-old farm turned holiday stay near Wedde in Westerwolde, Groningen, offering three farmhouse apartments (also let together as group accommodation for 16), six sleeping huts, and a small nature campsite with four tent pitches on a 6,000 m2 grounds with an old garden and pond.
About the camp
Just outside Wedde, BuitenWedde is a farmhouse almost a century old on a 6,000 m2 plot, run by hosts Judith and Paul who live on site; dogs are welcome. The farmhouse holds three apartments for 4-6 people, rentable separately or together as group accommodation for up to 16. At the back is a small nature campsite with four tent-only pitches and six sleeping huts (trekkershutjes and pipowagens), open for the 2026 season from 3 April to 25 October; a new camper pitch ("Tentpod") is being added from 1 April. The heart of the property is a park-like garden with old trees and a pond. The surrounding Westerwolde countryside offers 50+ marked walking routes, canoeing, mountain biking, and the fortified town of Bourtange nearby.
