A small motorhome erf on the farmstead of De Holtsehoek in Balgoy, one of the church villages of the municipality of Wijchen in Gelderland. The pitches are paved, each with its own patch of grass and its own electricity connection, and the shower block, toilets and motorhome service point stand on the same grounds. The campsite was laid out in 2020 on a meadow that used to be mown for the cows.

About the camp

De Holtsehoek is a working family property that runs a bed and breakfast, a tea garden and coffee house, a museum and a campererf side by side, and the owners keep an eye on the erf: they come round every evening for a chat, and a welcome envelope with the wifi code waits in the letterbox if they are out. There is no reservation system for the pitches, so guests choose their own spot on arrival and reverse into it. Around the property are the Maas with wide views, the old fortress towns Grave and Ravenstein, and the Overasseltse en Hatertse vennen, a lake nature area the page says you find nowhere else in the Netherlands. Everything for daily shopping is 1200 m away.

Balgoy is a church village in the municipality of Wijchen; the erf sits at the first driveway after the Balgoy roundabout, straight opposite the garden centre. A shopping centre with a Jumbo, a snackbar, a pizzeria, a bakery, a butcher, a drugstore, a pharmacy and a cash machine is 1200 m away, and Wijchen has dozens of restaurants.
