Camperplaats het Bolwerk is a municipal motorhome stopover run by the Gemeente Purmerend, at Nieuwstraat 109. It has 5 marked camper bays, each equipped with a service post supplying electricity, wifi and water. There is no reservation system: guests buy a day ticket for EUR 9.80 from an on-site payment machine. Showers and toilets are not on the camperplaats itself but a short distance away at the municipal harbour office (Whereplantsoen 10), open daily from 07:00 to 23:00. If all 5 bays are full or unavailable, the municipality points visitors to two nearby alternatives in Zuidoostbeemster: Camping In het Fruit and Camper Park The Hidden Valley.
