About the camp
A dedicated camperplaats (motorhome-only site) in the hamlet of Kiesterzijl near Herbaijum, in the Waadhoeke municipality of Friesland. Pricing is all-inclusive per night, covering tourist tax, use of the heated shower and toilet building, free wifi, and free use of the motorhome sanistation, wastewater dump point and tap water. Electricity (10 Amp) is metered separately. No advance booking is required - travellers can simply arrive. Up to two dogs are welcome if kept on a leash. Standard checkout is by noon, with a later checkout until 18:00 available for a small extra fee. The site lies along the historic Elfstedentocht touring route linking Leeuwarden, Sneek, IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, Bolsward, Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum.
