About the camp
Camperplaats van Huizen is a small municipal motorhome stopover run by the local council, set on IJsselmeerstraat next to Huizen's harbour and bordering a Natura 2000 nature reserve on the IJsselmeer. It offers 8 hardstanding spaces for motorhomes only, with a maximum stay of 3 nights and departure by 12:00. The flat overnight fee is paid on arrival by scanning a QR code (I-Marina), and licence plates are checked by the harbourmaster, sometimes with municipal enforcement officers. A service point (Sanizuil) on site offers a paid drinking-water tap, a chemical-toilet emptying point and a grey-water drain, plus two waste containers. Leashed dogs are welcome. Further sanitary facilities are available opposite the harbour office for a small daily fee.
