About the camp

Three signposted motorhome pitches line the Kleine Koppel canal opposite house number 35, near the fire station, with stays capped at 72 hours. From the parking spot it is a short walk southeast via the medieval Koppelpoort gate into Amersfoort's historic centre, with sunny terraces, shops, markets and summer festivals, plus supermarkets close by. Electricity, water, showers, toilets and waste containers are free to use, though a permit is required after 16:00, obtained and paid for through the 'Campercontact' app (iDEAL, credit card, Bancontact, Sofort) or at a coin-operated Taxameter machine by the sanitary building entrance. The stopover is run by the municipal harbour and market office, whose harbour master passes by several times a day.
