Camping Bakkum sits among the dunes right behind Castricum aan Zee beach, one of three sister sites run by Kennemer Duincampings. The site markets itself around outdoor living, forest and sea air, offering eight pitch types - forest, dune, sun, play, watersport, car-free play-field, and two motorhome variants - each for up to 6 guests, plus separate season-long pitches. A central square (Ontmoetingsplein) hosts the campsite's own restaurant Bakkum Bites, a SPAR supermarket, and a camping shop renting bikes, e-bikes and go-karts. Sports facilities include an outdoor padel court, a tennis court, a 140 m pump track, football pitches, jeu de boules, volleyball and 15-hole mini-golf. A free summer shuttle bus links the site to Castricum station and the beach.
