The camp quotes one all-in nightly price for two people that already covers the pitch, the rig, 6 A electricity, wifi, sanitary use and tourist tax. It is a working farm: animals roam the yard, children can help with haying, and campers may bring their own horse or pony.

About the camp
Boerderij Jonker is a traditional Dutch farmhouse with a campsite on its own land and a horse boarding yard attached, so the yard is genuinely a farm: rabbits, chickens and peacocks wander freely, and in summer the horses are out in herds on the meadows. Pitches lie on grass across several small fields, all with 6 ampère electricity, and wifi reaches almost the whole site. The camp says plainly that it is not laid out for large campers or caravans and has no grey-water dump station — small caravans, campervans and tents fit well. Riders can take their own horse or pony and be in the forest within five minutes, from there into the dunes and down to the beach; riding club De Kennemerruiters is five minutes away. In the farmhouse itself a self-contained apartment sleeps five to six and is let in July and August only.

Bergen (NH) is an artists' village at the Dutch coast, ringed by dunes and forest, with galleries, ateliers, museums, terraces and a beach. Alkmaar with its cheese market, Schoorl with the highest dune in the Netherlands and the seaside village of Egmond are all close by.
