About the camp
Camping De Hooghe Heide markets itself as a warm, welcoming, sociable family park. Alongside standard pitches for car-and-caravan/tent/camper campers, it offers a dedicated pitch for cycling campers travelling with just a small tent. The grounds centre on a large play meadow with a jumping pillow, swings, play equipment, table tennis and a children's zipline, plus swimming fun and mini-golf; free children's entertainment runs during Dutch school holidays. Cars may not be driven onto the pitches (load and unload only, then parked elsewhere), and the terrain does not suit tandem-axle caravans or campers. Pets are welcome (max 2, leashed) but party tents and open fires are not. The sanitary building has free showers, a baby room, an accessible toilet/shower, a dishwashing area and a launderette.
