About the camp
A small-scale campsite tucked into woodland near Stadskanaal in Groningen province, De Kapschuur is positioned as a starting point for the area's many walking and cycling routes. Its sunny pitches (nine with electricity) suit a tent, caravan or folding trailer, alongside a separate, lower-priced pitch for hikers and cyclists (2-4 people) and a large pitch for bigger groups (from 10 people). A play meadow keeps children entertained on site, and sanitary facilities are included in the pitch price. Beyond camping, the grounds hold several rental stays -- hiker's huts, a log cabin, a wine-barrel and barrel-shaped cabins, a tiny house and bed & breakfast rooms -- for guests who want a roof without their own tent.
