About the camp
De Maaneschijn is a farm campsite ('boerderijcamping') in the hamlet of Appel, municipality of Nijkerk, between Nijkerk, Barneveld, Voorthuizen and Hoevelaken, with Amersfoort, Apeldoorn and Ede reachable within about half an hour. The site is the starting point of the 8 km 'Appelpad' hiking route through farms, church paths and meadows. Guests check in at the on-site farm shop (Landwinkel), which also serves coffee and light refreshments; an associated restaurant (MAAN) is listed too. Besides standard pitches for 1-2 people, a cheaper walk-in/cyclist tent pitch ('Trekkerstentje') is offered. The sanitary building has 4 toilets, a urinal, 3 showers and 5 sinks, and is adapted for people with disabilities. Wifi is free; payment on arrival is by cash or card.
