About the camp
A quiet, spacious and green family campsite ('trekkersveld') tucked into Giethoorn's old town centre, where guests can paddle straight from their pitch into the village canal or the lake. The site is not accessible by car, caravan or camper (only on foot, by bicycle, boat or canoe) which keeps it calm and close to nature. A modern toilet building sits within 20 metres of the pitches, electricity and water are included, and Wi-Fi can be requested at reception. Guests can store a bike, boat or canoe on site by arrangement. The Schoelink family, who also rent electric sloops and holiday homes locally, often give camping guests a discount on boat rental. Booking runs through WhatsApp, with the price calculated from nights, adults and children.
