About the camp

A quiet, car-restricted 'sfeercamping' with 25 grounds in total (including its rental accommodations), a small fishing pond, a communal fire pit, and a self-service tea garden in a former horse stable. Hosts Miranda Kleisen and Wim van der Zel emphasise a personal, welcoming atmosphere and a sustainable approach. The site is a natural base for long-distance hiking routes (Groot Frieslandpad, Stellingenpad, the 100 km route near Appelscha) and hosts recurring events such as summer Table d'Hote dinners, a neighbourhood camping weekend, and an Oldtimer & Retro camping weekend each September. Guests get free introduction cards to the nearby sustainable outdoor pool Haulewelle in summer.
