About the camp

Camping Het Achterhuis is a small, family-run mini-campsite in Ommeren, in the Betuwe region of the Netherlands, run by Alex van Schaik and Carla van Beek. It is affiliated with the SVR (Stichting Vrije Recreatie) and follows the SVR-recommended nightly rates, with a discounted rate for SVR members. The per-person nightly price already includes the pitch, placement of the camping unit, a shower, the environmental levy and WiFi; electricity, tourist tax, fridge use and a small extra tent are charged separately. The site also links to a separate 'De Pipowagen' page, suggesting a gypsy-caravan rental alongside the camping pitches. The campsite is open from 1 April to 1 October, and reservations of three or more pitches require a 30% deposit.
