About the camp

A quiet, small-scale nature camping ground for adults only. No children under 18 are admitted, even as day visitors. Around 10 grass pitches each have a 6-amp electricity point; caravans over 7 m (including drawbar) and tents over 15 m² are not accepted, and only an awning or a porch, not both, may be added. Various hiker's cabins (trekkershutten) are scattered across the grounds among fruit and nut trees. Two sanitary buildings are cleaned daily and included in the price. A pond offers a quiet spot to sit (no fishing, no dogs swimming). The site markets itself as a base for walking and cycling through the surrounding Limburg countryside, and is a member of the Stichting Vrije Recreatie (SVR), which gets members a special rate.

The camp lies in the Dubbroek nature reserve near Maasbree in Limburg, next to the 'Lang Hout' marshland and the 'Winkel' woodland-and-pasture area, with the Maas river floodplains, Kesselse Bergen, Crayelheide and Leudal forests within reach; castle villages such as Baarlo, Kessel and Arcen are within cycling distance, and Maasbree's centre with shops is about 2 km away.
