About the camp
Camping Orvelte sits at Smalhoorn 1 in the Drenthe village of Orvelte, close to the Vorrelveen estate, and markets itself as a 'charme camping' (boutique campsite) in the middle of Drenthe. Regular pitches take a caravan, camper or folding caravan for two people, with tourist tax included and electricity billed separately per kWh. Hikers and cyclists arriving without a car can use the dedicated Trekkerstent pitch, priced per tent plus a per-person fee. Longer stays are available through a seasonal pitch contract running April to October. Children up to four stay free, and dogs and other pets are welcome at no extra charge.
