About the camp
Recreatiecentrum Scholtenhof, home to Camping Slootermeer, sits in the Oude IJssel valley near the wooded Montferland area of the Achterhoek. Alongside long-term seasonal pitches, the site keeps room for short-stay campers, laid out across several fields separated by greenery. On site there is a natural swimming pond, a children's pool, a sandy beach and a play field, plus a play and hobby room for younger guests and a daily activity programme run by the recreation team in summer. Anglers have access to good fishing water. The flat, rural surroundings suit walking and cycling, with canoe trips on the Oude IJssel available nearby. A separate party centre (Scholtenhof) and a new/used mobile-home and chalet sales operation share the site.
