Camping 't Veentje is a small, family-run touring campsite in Willemsoord (De Pol), in the northern tip of Overijssel near the Drenthe and Friesland borders, run by hosts Cees and Annigje Onbelet, with an on-site swimming pool and fishing pond.
About the camp
Camping 't Veentje sits in a wooded, rustic area at the head of Overijssel, described on the site as a cosy campsite for young and old. It offers an on-site swimming pool, a playground and a pretty fishing pond, plus bike rental, a small shop, a canteen, a launderette and cable television. During the northern-region summer school holiday a recreation team runs an activity programme including bingo, klaverjassen (a card game), a horror night and playback (lip-sync) shows. The surrounding area, near the De Eese estate, has extensive walking and cycling routes, and day trips reach Giethoorn, the Weerribben national park, Drenthe, historic Steenwijk and Wolvega.
