De Grote Bredelaar is a farm campsite beside a family-run dairy-goat farm in Elst, opened in spring 2018 with spacious pitches that each have their own electricity and water connection with drainage. A wifi network reaches every pitch, and the sanitary building holds toilets, showers, a washing machine, a dryer and a covered dishwashing area. The campsite is open the whole year and priced as one all-in day rate for a pitch with two people.

About the camp

The campsite lies next to the geitenboerderij of the van den Toorn family, a milking-goat farm with about 2,000 goats whose origins are on the Rijkerswoerdsestraat. When the new nature area of Park Lingezegen was laid out, the farm and its then-existing campsite had to be relocated; after years of consultation the family was able to take over the old homestead De Grote Bredelaar and the land around it. The camping opened in spring 2018, borders the Oude Bongerd and Park Bredelaar, which opened in 2016, and looks out over farmland. The owners rebuilt the entire sanitary building in their own style, in the shape of an old hay rick, because they know how much guests value it.
