About the camp

The grounds were originally a uiterwaard, a river floodplain, and were raised so that they stay dry even at high water. The camp's own motto is 'ontvluchten bij het water' (escape by the water), and recreation on and beside the water is the theme: a sand beach and meadows along a recreation lake whose water deepens slowly, which the camp points out as ideal for small children. Maas en Vrienden, the restaurant on the bank, has a terrace, and an animation team brings games, sport and water activities during the summer holidays. Walkers and cyclists with a tent are explicitly welcome, and boat owners can moor in the camp's own small marina or put their boat in via the trailer slip.
