About the camp

De Keite keeps the layout of the old farmstead it sits on: spacious, with much greenery and varied indigenous planting that is maintained ecologically and gives birds, small mammals and insects attractive places to nest and hide. That planting is what gives each pitch its privacy, and the owners call the camp unique for it: you do not stand on a field of tents and caravans, but on your own spot with mostly birds as neighbours. The sanitary building holds showers and wash cabins with hot and cold water, toilets and a hot-water tap with a washing-up place, and there is a dump point for chemical toilets. Wi-Fi is available in the reception room in the barn of the farm and outside around it. The camp runs ecological cleaning products, keeps its lighting modest and produces half of its electricity itself with solar panels.
