About the camp
Annemieke Rouwenhorst runs de Kiefte as a small holding in open Twente countryside, with a generous view across the Schipbeek as it winds through the landscape. The site courts two kinds of camper: the one who wants to drift off to birdsong, and the one who wants to cast a line in the stream right beside the pitches. The many cycling routes are the other draw, the best known of them looping past the six castles that surround Diepenheim. Children have a playground on site and friends at the neighbouring campsites, or the swimming pool in nearby Markelo, where outgoing teenagers have the Megadancing and the regionally known Dieka van de Kruusweg.
