A small, quietly-run campsite at Velden in Dutch Limburg, on the edge of the De Maasduinen nature area. Almost all of its around 85 pitches are taken year-round by owners of their own mobile homes; only a handful of walk-in places on a shared meadow are left for passing campers.

About the camp
De Krosselt has been a family campsite since the 1950s, when the founders started with one small building in the woods and pitches for tents only; three generations later most plots hold an owner's own mobile home, and the site keeps its informal, unhurried character rather than a uniform layout: every plot differs in size, position and planting, and each has its own water and electricity meter. A community of long-stay residents organises activities during the season. Walk-in camping is deliberately limited: a sunny meadow takes a few caravans, tents or campers close to the washrooms, with two more shady places, and the site asks passers-by to check by email before setting off. There is a heated outdoor pool, a canteen, a small shop and a playground, and the surrounding Maasduinen area is well suited to walking and cycling, with Venlo, Roermond and the village of Arcen close by for a day out.
