De Plakken is a quiet minicamping in Heerde, on the edge of the Veluwe in Gelderland, with roomy grass pitches, hardstanding camper pitches and a few furnished rentals. Pitches carry 10A electricity, each field has its own water point, and there is a recreation room for bad weather.

About the camp
The camp sits at the edge of Heerde, in the triangle of Zwolle, Apeldoorn and Deventer, between the meadows of the IJssel valley and the forests and heath of the Veluwe. Guests choose their field: the kampeerveld has seven sunny, sheltered pitches for caravans, awnings and large tents, the recreatieveld has six more overlooking the meadows with room for groups and families to play games, and the trekkersveld is a small-tent area between the apple trees, kept for guests on foot, by bike or by motorcycle. Four camper pitches are built up with gravel and a grass surface so nothing sinks in wet weather, with two more camper spots on the kampeerveld. The furnished tent de Waard and the caravans de Kikker and de Horizon stand on the fields, and two B&B units are still under construction.

The camp lies in open farmland at the edge of Heerde, close to the hoogwatergeul, with the woods and heath of the Veluwe on the doorstep and the IJssel valley nearby. The nearest village centre is Heerde, with Wapenveld and the IJssel at Veessen a short cycle away.
