A quiet, rural minicamping tucked behind Hotel Café Kreutzer on the Mergellandroute, between Slenaken and Epen in the Zuid-Limburg Heuvelland. Spacious grass pitches for tent, caravan or motorhome, each with a 10 amp power hookup, in hilly walking and cycling country. There are no rental units, no pool and no entertainment.

About the camp
Camping Heyenrade is run together with Hotel Café Kreutzer, whose café and reception sit directly in front of the camp; guests arrive at the back door of the hotel, fill in a short form and are shown to their pitch. The site sells itself on what it does not have: the pages keep repeating rust, ruimte en groen, rest, space and green, and the setting between Slenaken and Epen is the hilliest part of the Netherlands, crossed by the Mergellandroute. Pitches are flat, grassy and roomy, with water and a 10 amp hookup spread over the grounds, modern sanitary buildings and rain showers paid for with tokens. A breakfast buffet runs from 07:00 to 10:00 and rolls can be ordered the day before and collected at reception. Extra cars park on the hotel's lot. Dogs are welcome on the lead, and bookings are made by request rather than online.
