About the camp

The Kroonen family has worked this land since 1937; today it is an arable and horse-breeding farm that has hosted campers since 1950, grown from a single barn tap and a cold shower into a quiet, spacious site. The sanitary building sits in the renovated stable of the old marlstone farm and holds 4 toilets, 4 heated showers and dishwashing facilities; there is a separate heated indoor room that can also be used as an indoor dining space, and 2 water points on the site. All 15 pitches have a 6-ampere electricity hookup and free fibre wifi runs across the whole campsite. Dogs are welcome, campers can even bring their own horse, cars stay on the parking lot (with a 22 kW EV charging point), and Valkenburg is a walk away along the river Geul.

The campsite lies among the hills of the Geul valley, next to orchard pasture where the farm's own horses graze. The village centre of Schin op Geul, with train and bus connections, cafes, restaurants and a warm bakery, is within walking distance, as is Valkenburg.
