A quiet, wooded nature campsite on a small estate in Bosschenhoofd (Halderberge), West-Brabant, camping here since 1954. The owners describe it as a rustic, organic camp for holiday guests, largely aged 45 and up, with pitches between the trees and a few sunny ones. The only tariff the site publishes is a six-month season place; weekend and week stays are offered as arrangements and priced on request.

About the camp
Landgoed De Wildert is a family-run nature and organic campsite tucked into an old country estate: a holiday colony for city children from 1905, a rest home from 1932, the municipality of Dordrecht's camping ground from 1954 and privately owned since 1990. The grounds are so green and so full of birds that the owners keep a running list of more than forty species they have seen or heard, alongside three stubborn donkeys, free-ranging hens and their own beehives. Guests arrive by caravan, tent, small camper, tent trailer, vouwwagen or bicycle. Everything the camp sells comes from close by or from the kitchen garden: raw cold-spun honey, jam, herb tea, unsprayed vegetables, eggs. The nearest restaurant is at the front gate.

The estate sits in the woods of West-Brabant in the municipality of Halderberge, with nature park Pagnevaart (laid out in 1934) bordering it. Bosschenhoofd, Hoeven, Oudenbosch, Sint Willebrord, Rucphen and Zundert are all within a short ride, and the page stresses how much regional produce is close at hand.
