A minicamping of 25 pitches and two holiday homes lying behind the highest dunes of Walcheren, within walking distance of the beach, the sea and the centre of Zoutelande. The pitches are spread over four sheltered fields, each screened by a tall hedge of native shrubs, so no pitch looks into a neighbour's. The heated sanitary building was renewed in 2024.

About the camp

In summer the camp is filled by families with children coming for the beach a short walk away; in spring and autumn it is seniors and couples who come for the quiet and the space the owners call Rust en Ruimte. There is deliberately no animation programme - children are left free to play. Goats, a farm dog and a chicken run give the place the feel of a small farm camp, and there are fresh free-range eggs and bread rolls six days a week from Easter to mid-October. Pitches have tile paving or artificial grass, every field also has hardstanding spots for campers, and the facilities include a launderette, a covered dishwashing area, an outdoor shower with hot water, a dog shower and an off-leash field. Two holiday homes adjoin the campsite, terraces on the camping.

Zoutelande is on foot: the promenade, terraces, shops and restaurants of the seaside village lie directly behind the dunes, with a tourist market on Tuesday mornings in the summer season. The beach here is one of the few in the Netherlands facing south, has a Blue Flag and strandpaviljoens at regular intervals, and is walkable with a pram on duckboards. Walcheren's other sights - Middelburg, Vlissingen, the Delta Works - and the dune nature reserves are a short bike ride away.
