About the camp

The club describes De Distel as its meeting place: spacious, centrally located in the Netherlands, a base for group activities and for exploring Flevoland and the Veluwe. Around 250 pitches are split over small fields screened from each other by greenery, so you can pick a sheltered, quiet corner or a livelier one; there are separate fields for trekkers, young people, passing members and events, and the car parks at the camping unit. The terrain lies at the end of a dead-end road and is locked at night. Changing wardens run a Friday games evening, a Saturday happy hour and a Sunday group walk. The site is wheelchair-friendly, with adapted sanitary facilities and a library of books and local information.
