About the camp
De Kemphaan is pitched in the green and the site describes it as a place to get away from the hustle: birdsong and croaking frogs everywhere and, with luck, a deer or a passing stork or pheasant. Cleanliness of the sanitary block is a point of honour, and guests are invited to drop by the reception if anything is missing. Dogs are explicitly welcome, on a leash, and there is good walking straight outside the camp. Tent pitches come in three sizes, so a small tent does not pay for a family pitch, and two Pipo wagons, four forest cabins and one tiny house cover nights without a tent. The estate has a climbing park, an animal park and a farm on foot, and Amsterdam-centrum is 45 minutes away by bus and train.
