About the camp
De Rolle is one of 12 terreinen run by the Nederlandse Caravan Club (NCC), lying along the Overijsselse Vecht in the wooded, screened coulisselandschap of eastern Overijssel. Its 39 spacious pitches sit on two small, easy-to-oversee fields; from the higher part of the terrain there is a fine view over the river valley, and campers may park right beside their pitch. Caravans, campers, tilt trailers and tents are all welcome, with trees giving the site a green, sheltered feel. The changing site managers create a sociable atmosphere without any obligation, summed up on the page as 'niets moet, alles mag' (nothing has to, anything is allowed). Children have a playground with a playhouse, trampoline, swings, climbing frame and sandpit, plus bikes and scoters; there is a Saturday-afternoon happy hour, Wednesday-morning coffee, a large communal barbecue, and klootschieten (a regional bowling game) equipment available on site. A wheelchair-accessible toilet and shower make the terrain practical for campers with limited mobility, and clear cycling and walking routes start directly from the site.
