About the camp
The club has camped here since 1972 and calls De Haan a city ground close to the sea. The camp fields carry no pitch marks: they are simply spacious, and green edges of planting give enough privacy even so. The ground's own feature is the swimming water along its edge, reached by a small staircase, and a canoe trip can be made from there; for more water, the sea is 3 kilometres away. Children play on the ground itself, on the swing, the seesaw, in the sandbox and the playhouse, and there is a boules court for young and old. De Haan is run by NTKC, a Dutch association for tent campers since 1912, which keeps 20 member-run grounds in all landscape types and camps simply, on quiet ground with few facilities.
- a city ground of 2 hectares with the sea 3 km away and swimming water on its own edge
- spacious grass fields with green edges, so every pitch is private without being marked
- playground and boules court on the ground, dunes and two nature areas at the gate
- member-run since 1972 by a tent-camper club founded in 1912, with no reservations and no pitch marks
