About the camp
The farm around the camp still works: forty hectares of seed potatoes, sugar beets, onions, wheat and barley, with sheep, chickens, two cats and two donkeys within walking distance and a watchtower over the Waalenburg nature reserve on the land. The camp presents itself on quiet and space. Pitches around the stolp are large, and the hardstanding motorhome field has a view and is easy to drive on and off. Facilities are those of a small farm site: four toilets, two showers, washbasins with hot and cold water, a bench for vegetables and washing up, a chemical toilet dump point, a washing machine with spin dryer and a bad-weather room with a small library. Bread rolls come in the morning and bicycle hire is arranged on site.
