About the camp
P2 Ir. Lelykade is a large, half-paved public car park (673 spaces in total, next to the Dolfinarium) that sets aside four oversized bays for campers, marketed by the regional tourism network as "Camperplekken Molen de Hoop" for the windmill directly opposite. The setting — harbour, water and mill in view, the old centre about 150 metres away — makes it a convenient base for a weekend in Harderwijk rather than a camping ground: there are no on-site facilities, and the town's own pages publish no price for a camper overnight stay here, only the general citywide parking tariff. Campers can use the harbour's sanitary facilities nearby and a public water tap at the Hierdenseweg/Hogeweg corner.
