Minicamping Pomona is a farm campsite at Kalfhoekseweg 2a just outside Oostkapelle on Walcheren, Zeeland, with 15 spacious, sheltered pitches of about 100 square metres, each with electricity. The camping field itself is car-free. The nightly pitch price covers up to two persons, electricity and tourist tax; wifi is free and the warm showers need no coins. The village, the forest and the beach are a five-minute bike ride away, and the camp is open from 20 March to 31 October.

About the camp

Pomona is a small farm campsite (boerencamping) run by the family Lous next to their arable farm, and it leans into that: an animals pasture with ponies, geese, ducks and sheep, with lambs in spring. The site calls itself child-friendly, and the children get a playground plus skelters to ride. The sanitary building holds four warm showers, four toilets, eight washbasins and a chemical toilet, and a covered dishwashing room has fridges, freezers, an oven and a microwave for everyone to use; a recreation room has a dartboard and a billiard table. Guests arriving with a horse or pony get pasture grazing and a pen for lunging, with forest and beach routes straight out of the camp. A separately built holiday house for six, new in 2022, stands next to the pitches.

The camp sits on Kalfhoekseweg at the edge of Oostkapelle, five minutes by bike from the village centre with its supermarket, bakery, butchers and eateries, and the same from the forest and the beach. The page names Domburg, Middelburg, Veere and Vlissingen as places to visit nearby, along with Oostkapelle's castle and nature museum.
