A naturist camping site hidden in a pocket of woodland in the open polder of North-Holland, run by the Zon en Leven association: 80 spacious pitches, a swimming pool, a wood-fired sauna and the Sternnest day lodge. Camping requires a valid Zon en Leven or NFN membership card.

About the camp
Starnmeer means quiet and green: more than eight hectares of larger and smaller grass fields where 80 spacious pitches lie sheltered between hedges, with birdsong everywhere and a chance of seeing a pheasant or a hare. There is a large sun lawn, a natural-history garden with benches, and a walk around the site with wide polder views. The wood-fired sauna is the heart of the terrain, fired all year by volunteer stokers, and the Sternnest day lodge hosts a Sunday coffee morning in season. Campers organise spontaneous meals and activities themselves. The pool is kept safe by seventeen volunteers. Young, old, alone or together, everyone is welcome.

Midway in the wide polder landscape of North-Holland, in a surprising stretch of woodland. Amsterdam is easy to reach, and Zaandam with its restaurants and the Zaanse Schans are close by. Bus and train are 8 km away, as are the nearest shops.
