About the camp
Waterloo is the camperplaats of a farm, described by its owners as a base for visitors who value quiet, nature and water sports. Around ten roomy green pitches, some partly paved and all with a power hookup, look out over the meadow and the cattle. Facilities are practical rather than extensive: drinking water, a disposal point for waste water and chemical toilets, waste separation, wifi, one toilet room (there is no shower) and a covered washing-up place. Dogs are welcome at no charge. The Slotermeer lake, the water-sport village of Woudsend and the village of Balk with its shops and terraces are close by, as are walking and cycling routes. The site is open from 15 March to 1 November.
