Campsite
A 15-pitch minicamping on a working arable farm in polder Eierland, at the north end of Texel. The pitches lie on a sheltered field behind the farm buildings, with a modern heated sanitary building and a large play field in the middle of the camp. Open from late March to the end of October.

About the camp
Zevenbergen is a small family campsite run by Marcel and Sandy Smit on the farm where Marcel grew up. Fifteen spacious pitches sit on the protected field behind the barns, among fields of tulips, crocuses, narcissus, sugar beets and grain; in spring the land around the camp is in flower. The bright, heated sanitary building is what the family calls its calling card, and returning guests keep mentioning it. Children play in the sandpit and wooden climbing towers in the centre of the field, where a parent can keep an eye on them from the tent, and parachutists come down over the fence from the school 200 m away. There is no entertainment programme - the owners prefer it spontaneous. De Cocksdorp and De Koog are 5 km off.

Polder Eierland, the northernmost and quietest part of Texel, about 5 km from the village of De Cocksdorp. The nature reserves De Slufter and De Muy are the nearest walking ground, with old dunes, creeks and unusual plants and birds. Farmland all around, in flower in spring. The island is reached by the 20-minute TESO ferry from Den Helder.
