Apidomček na Gazdovom dvore is a small bee-hive therapy hut ("apidomček") on a working farmstead in Vavrišovo, in Slovakia's Liptov region. Guests can rest for a session or sleep overnight on cushioned platforms built over active beehives, part of a wider farm that also rents traditional cottages and houses.

About the camp

Gazdov dvor sits in the foothills of Vavrišovo, run as a family farmstead with animals, home-made bread, cheese and butter, and beeswax candle-making. Its signature offering is the apidomček, a small wooden hut where guests rest directly on beehives to experience apitherapy: the hosts advertise benefits for blood pressure, skin conditions, asthma, stress and recovery from injury, plus breathing filtered hive air through a screened tube and drinking water said to be charged by bees. A wheelchair-accessible entrance is built in. The hut is used from April to September and can also be booked as an overnight stay for two. The farm arranges a paid beekeeping lecture with an apiary tour, and sits near the Belá river and Liptov's hiking, cycling and aquapark attractions.
