About the camp

Autocamping Počúvadlo is a simple public camping area beside one of Slovakia's historic mining reservoirs. The lake was constructed in 1775 to power mines and is now a recreational destination surrounded by forests, meadows and pastures with rare flora and fauna. The camp shares the shore with a boat rental offering water bikes and boats, a terrace restaurant serving langoše, and two nearby pensions. Chata West and Chata Katka provide cabin accommodation as an alternative to tenting. The whole area belongs to the UNESCO-listed town of Banská Štiavnica.
