An informal caravan and tent pitch in the yard of the Čiernohronská železnica heritage railway's depot in Čierny Balog. The railway's own website carries no dedicated page, tariff, or photos for the pitch itself.
About the camp
The pitch stands inside the working depot of the Čiernohronská železnica (ČHŽ), a narrow-gauge (760 mm) heritage railway that has run steam and diesel trains through the Čierny Hron valley since 1909, with its own museum and the Lampáreň restaurant on the same site in Čierny Balog. Seasonal trains continue on to the Vydrovská dolina forest and the village of Dobroč. The camping pitch itself is not run as an ordinary commercial campsite: chz.sk publishes no page, price list, or gallery for it, and there is no online booking. Anyone wanting to stay has to contact the railway's own office directly.
